01 - What is VoiP Internet Telephony?
VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. This is the latest technology for delivering a voice conversation over the Internet, drastically reducing costs by bypassing the traditional telephone network.
One of the great things about MBC Technlogy VoIP service is that you don’t need to tinker about with your computer to make low-cost Internet calls. Just plug your normal phone into our award-winning VoiP adapter and you’re ready to go!
Gone are the days of downloading special VoIP software and the difficult task of configuring it to work well with your microphone and headset or speakers. With our VoIP service, you simply pick up your phone and dial as usual!

02 - What do I require to make low-cost calls with MBC Technology VoiP Telephony service?
To use this service, you will need an ADSL Broadband internet connection running over a Spanish landline (normal telephone line) provided by Telefonica de España.

03 - How can I make VoiP calls over the Internet even when my computer is switched off?
Your normal phone will be connected directly to the VoiP adapter, so your VoiP phone calls automatically go straight through the VoiP adapter and out over your ADSL Broadband connection without passing through your computer at all. In fact, you don’t even need to have a computer for the system to work!

04 - Will call quality be affected if I want to make a VoiP call and have a large download running at the same time?
No! One of the great things about the Linksys VoiP adapter that it intelligently manages your Internet connection to give first priority to your VoiP phone calls, so you enjoy maximum call quality regardless of how much you are downloading.

05 - Will I have to dial a prefix before I make a VoiP call?
No, you simply use the phone connected to your VoiP adapter, which comes pre-configured to automatically make the call through our VoiP system.

06 - Will all my phone calls be at VoiP rates?
Keep in mind that you will only get VoiP rates on the phone that you connect through your VoiP adapter.

VoiP calls are charged per second after the first second. There is no call connection fee.

11 - How do I install the VoiP adapter?
Your VoiP adapter leaves our Technical Support department fully configured with an Internet Telephony (VoiP) account ready for you to use. All you have to do is plug it in according to the provided photo illustration you will find inside the box. For your convenience, the wiring is colour coded.
